Mr. Baumgartner was the best teacher I have ever had.  Including college professors.  He was an unbelievable art instructor, and human being.  What a privilege to have had him as an instructor.

Always encouraging, and the atmosphere of his art room fostered creativity.

I agree with you Noel. Mr. Baumgartner introduced his students to so many artistic mediums, allowed you to fully develop artworks you were intrigued by, and gave us helpful hints and techniques to further complete and enhance our artworks. He also invested his own money into buying the materials necessary to help our budding art and creativity to grow. Plus he illustrated children's books on the side. He was a most dedicated teacher to each of his students. I have had 4 children go through highschool art programs at about 3 different highschools. None of those teachers came close to Mr Baumgartner. Often they were given busy work, and they were not given the time to fully finish, enhance, or develop an artwork, even as seniors. Mr Baumgartner will be remembered fondly by his art students!
